I am very much a Hindu and believe in secularism says Siddaramaiah
CM Siddaramaiah said separate religion status for Lingayat community was not political issue. He said that previous government had constituted the committe.
CM Siddaramaiah was speaking in a debate organised by Bangalore Reporters Guild and Press Club of Bangalore on Sunday. Also, Home Minister Ramlingaa Reddy.

About PM Modi's rally, he said, ''This election BJP has dependent a lot on PM Modi. Local leaders have no face value.''
''PM Modi has visited the state 7-8 times during the elections. I observed his speech doesn't suit his stature. All BJP leaders are using unparliamentary language in rallies,'' he said.
About his retorts to PM Modi'jibes and he said, the '' I can't ignore PM Modi's jibes calling me 'Seeddha rupaiya', '10 percent government'. If I keep quite people will believe these jibes.''
On Mahadayi issue, '' Sonia Gandhi was not a PM. But Modi is PM. He had told us to talk to Goa Congress. That was not expected of him. Being a PM it is his responsibility to relove the issue. He should not drag Sonia Gandhi into this issue.''
Siddaramaiah alleged that PM Modi is hiding failure of his government by rasing such issue. He is For example, rise of fuel prices in the country. He asked why there was a steep rise in prices when crude oil prices are falling.
