Hyderabad: Girl commits suicide during video call; boyfriend says 'saw her hanging'

In yet another shocking incident, a Hyderabad MBA student committed suicide on video call with her friend by hanging herself in hostel room.

The student has been identified as Haneesha Chowdary, 24, hailing from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. She was pursuing second year MBA at Sivasivani Institute of Management.

The incident too place during the wee hours on Monday when she was on video call with her boyfriend Dakshit Patel.

It is learnt that an agrument broke between the duo over her attending a marriage after which Haneesha had decided to end her life.

Haneesha and Dakshit were in love for a while.

After watching her commit suicide on the video call, Patel rushed to the hostel, broke open her room and took her to the hospital. Haneesha body has been shifted to state-run Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for a post-mortem.

A case suspicious death has been registered and investigation is currently underway.
