Hyd police arrests couple in Bangalore for alleged Naxal connection
Interestingly, the Bangalore city police has claimed they don't have any clue on the arrests, said the report.
The couple was arrested from their house in Peenya in Bangalore late Tuesday night. They have been taken to Hyderabad for interrogation.
The couple, identified as Krishna and Bharathi, were living in a rented accommodation in Bangalore, said the TOI report. Sources said that they were living there since four years and never interacted with anyone.
Reportedly, they spoke Seemandhra Telugu. The man worked as mason while wife went to garment factory for first three years. For last two years, she was doing embroidery work at home, said a neighbour to Hyderabad police.
However, there are no evidence to prove that the couple were involved in illegal activities in the city, said the police.
The police have obtained various cell phone numbers from their call record details, which show that they were in touch with extremists, said the TOI report
