Hizbul's message to Kashmir Pandits- Stay at your homes, not in the colony
Late on Tuesday Burhan Muzzafar Wani, the 21 year old commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen Mujahideen released a video in which sends out a message to the Hindus. He says that Hindus are free to come and stay in their homes, but the concept of Israel type colonies is not acceptable.
The 6.17 minute video in the possession of OneIndia shows the Burhan sporting a white round neck t-shrt and a holster. He has two automatic rifles by his side. In the video he speaks about a host of issues and even says that Hindus coming to perform religious rites as part of the Amarnath Yatra will not be targeted.
Will guard Hindus staying in their homes:
He was making a reference to the separate Kashmiri Pandit colonies proposed to be set up by the government. He says in the video that this is not acceptable while referring to an Israeli type of colony. He says that the Hindus are free to come back and stay where they have had their homes before. If they do that we will be their guards, he says.
On the Amarnath Yatra, Burhan says that they have no plans of attacking it. The statement by an officer of the BSF that we are planning to attack it is a lie. We have nothing against the Hindus who come to perform religious rites, he also says.
However he sounded a warning to the police force. Our enemy is the Indian army, but the police are now forcing us to act against them. We will stand against all in uniform who follow the Indian Constitution, he also said. He further urged the youth to gather intelligence about all police personnel in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. We want to maintain a record of this, he also said.
