On Wednesday heavy rains resulted in a flood-like situation in Bhamragarh and Chamorshi of Gadchiroli district. Incessant rains brought down the roof of a school. District administration officials who have been monitoring the situation said that a river Gadchiroli city, Kathani, was flowing with maximum capacity. While the traffic remained undisrupted till Wednesday afternoon, officials issued advisory asking people to exercise caution.

More rains are predicted for Ahmednagar, Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad, Bhandara, Bid, Buldana and Chandrapur in next 24 hours. Khobragadi River near Aarmori has remained flooded since the last 36 hours, according to district administration. Officials, however, claimed that the situation was under control despite tributaries of the river inundating few places.
