When doctors were consulted, they said that his hip must be replaced. But Urvashi didn't get bogged down. She gave a thought to start a eating joint so that she could share some burden of her husband who is a sole bread earner for the whole family.

As she didn't have enough money to open a big restaurant, she settled for a roadside Thela. Reports say that initially she was dissuaded to do so by her father in laws and her children, but she went ahead after her husband gave nod for the same. She earns Rs 2000 to 3000 daily from her new business.

She was quoted by a website as saying, "Day one was the toughest and I was very uncomfortable. I covered my face, broke down, but eventually I pulled myself together".

"I hate to admit it but I was the kind of person who couldn't live without an AC and I hated the sun in my face. Yet, there I was, standing on the side of the road on a hot summer day, getting chole kulche ready for customers", she further stated.

Graduate Uravashi Yadav is a teacher by profession. She lives in sector 17, Gurgaon.
