Gujarat: Millionaire businessman adopts orphan, names him heir
Rajkot, June 10: In what could be termed as an end to his struggle and an orphan's desire for parents, a Jamnagar-based industrialist has decided to adopt an 18-year-old orphan boy.
As per a TOI report, Mavji Kateshiya is going to adopt Rahul (18) as his son and would name him the heir of his property.
Kateshiya and his wife Rama are childless even after 30 years of marriage. That is why they have decided to adopt an orphan who would not only look after them in their old age but also manage their business.
Kateshiya owns a flourishing brass parts business in Jamnagar which has an annual turnover of Rs 5 crore. The Gujarat industrialist also has several hectares of farm land.
"We wanted to adopt an adult orphan who needs support of parents. We came to know about Rahul and liked him in the very first meeting," Kateshiya was quoted by TOI as saying.
In 2006, Rahul was transferred to the special home from an orphanage in Surendrangar. He will start a new life with his new parents as soon as the formalities of adoption are completed.
