Meanwhile, in a new trend reported from Madhya Pradesh, a government veterinary hospital is providing special treatment to goats before Eid.
Body massage, shampoo, hair glossing, etc, is being provided all depending on what the owners were ready to pay.
Hot shower for Rs 300 and 3,000 ensured a complete package treatment. A thorough medical check-up was also done on all the goats, reports Hindustan Times.
Senior veterinary doctor Dr. Anil Sharma said the spa treatment keeps the goats healthy. "We remove dead skin and ticks from the goats" which otherwise can contaminate the meat.
The Bhopal municipal corporation (BMC) estimates, at least 10,000 goats would be butchered on Eid.
In another instance of special treatment, owner of a goat ensured that his goat gets special treatment his home before the sacrifice.
Syed Ahsan Ali arranged mattress, ac room and CCTV camera to guard the goat.
