Ghaziabad: Man gets misprinted Rs 2000 note from ATM

Harish Bhardwaj (32), a resident from Ghaziabad got a misprinted Rs 2,000 note from a Punjab National Bank (PNB) ATM located in Sanjay Nagar on Thursday. According to the reports, the man had gone to the ATM to withdraw Rs 20,000 from his savings account. When he went to withdrew the money, he discovered that the ATM dispensed the misprint note because there were different colours on each side of it.
He later filed a complaint with the police and the bank officials. The new currency notes of Rs500 and Rs2,000 denominations were issued after the government announced demonetisation of higher value notes last November.
