Ganesh Chaturthi 2017: Pray to elephant god in his popular Baahubali avatar
Hyderabad, August 24: The makers of idols of Hindu god Ganesh, also known as the elephant god, have always succeeded in attracting eyeballs because of their innovative and skillful ways of designing some of the most fascinating avatars of the god.
Every year, while making Ganesh idols, the makers make it a point to pick up relevant social and political issues and newsmakers to base their design upon.
So, this time, the idol makers inspired by the biggest Indian blockbuster movie--Baahubali--have come up with Baahubali Ganesh idols. The Baahubali Ganesh idols--based on various characters of the movie--are a hit among the buyers of Hyderabad, stated a report by ANI.

We must say these idols are not only beautiful and majestic, but are a fun way to see how gods and goddesses are almost like us, humans.
This year, several states like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana, to name a few, where the festival is celebrated in a massive, are encouraging devotees to use more and more eco-friendly idols made of organic materials instead of those made out of plaster of paris.
Generally, Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day long festival, but this year it will be celebrated for 11 days--starting from August 25.
With idols of Ganesh inspired by several characters of Baahubali movie, the festival is definitely going to be a blockbuster.
