In this backdrop, the home ministry has also said that the Rohingyas are illegal immigrants and need to be deported as per the law. The Intelligence Bureau has issued several warnings of Rohingyas being used by terror groups and the events in the recent past show signs of aggression.

Along the Indo-Myanmar border, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, an insurgent group of the Rohingya Muslims attacked a patrol team of the Assam Rifles recently. The firing took place in a bid to push the Army back, so that terror camps could be set up on the Indian side of the border.

In another development two Jamaat -ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh operatives who were arrested near Delhi had planned on carrying out a major strike in the National Capital. Sources told OneIndia that they were also trying to activate a module comprising Rohingya Muslims at Delhi.

IB sources say that there has been an aggressive approach in the recent times by the Rohingya Muslims. The ARSA has been trying to set up several modules within India with the help of the ISI in Pakistan. The Rohingyas have been told to target states in the North East as well as high profile locations such as Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

IB officials say that the terror infrastructure that the ARSA is trying to build in India is particularly disturbing in nature. They have sent in their handlers are identifying people residing in camps. The ISI has tasked members of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba, JMB and the SIMI to undertake this operation. The JMB would work along with the ARSA in the bordering areas, where the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and SIMI would look to work within the country.

With the firing on the Army, a high state of alert has been declared. The intelligence warns of more such attacks in the future. The officer says that the signs of aggression are showing and if not curbed, it could prove to be dangerous.

In the Delhi case, investigations suggest that the duo had planned to carry out a big strike in Delhi. They were in the process of activating a module and even getting in touch with the Rohingya settled in Delhi. The Intelligence Bureau has warned several times that the Rohingyas are a cause for concern and handlers have been getting in touch with some of them to undertake terror activities.

Further it was also found that the duo were also raising funds for the attack. The JMB had tasked the duo to carry out a major operation. The police say that they are also checking to find if the duo were trying to recruit anyone in the Delhi area. The JMB, founded in 1998 by Shaikh Abdur Rahman, was banned in 2005 for setting off about 500 bombs simultaneously all around Bangladesh.

Recently the Supreme Court had asked the government to explain why it wanted to deport the Rohingyas. Junior Home Minister Kiren Rijiju said that they were illegal immigrants and needed to be deported as per the law. "I want to tell the international organisations whether the Rohingya are registered under the United Nations Human Rights Commission or not. They are illegal immigrants in India and as per law they stand to be deported," he also said.
