For a good cause she drove from UK to India covering 32,000 kilometres

Bharulata, not only hopes for a place in record books but also want to give a message to all the Indian girl in rural areas that woman can achieve anything.

Vadodara, Nov 29: An NRI woman Bharulata Kamble from Gujurat's Navasri district was able to successfully complete her journey of 32,000 kilometres from United Kingdom to India.

Bharulata, a lawyer and former civil servant with the British government, not only hopes for a place in record books but also want to give a message to all the Indian girl in rural areas that woman can achieve anything.

Woman completes solo driving

In August 2016, Bharulata began her journey from Luton in the UK without any back up team, crew or any back up vehicle.

Mother of two, she travelled across nine mountain ranges, three major deserts and two continents.

Bharulata completed her first record on September 28 and became the first woman in the world to undertake and complete solo car driving expedition to the Arctic Circle.

Bharulata also is the first woman to visit most countries in only 57 days. On November 8, Bharulata reached India at Moreh Check post in Manipur state, covering distance of over 32,000 kilometres.

Bharulata's entire expedition was sponsored by her husband who is a Urologist and Robotic Surgeon and while the money she collected along the route will be donated to charities in based in UK & India.
