Five empty coaches of Sealdah express derail in Jammu

Five empty coaches of Sealdah express derailed at Jammu Railway Station's washing bay on Saturday night. No one was injured in the incident.

This is the seventh derailment incident in the past 16 days in different parts of the country, said reports.

The derailment took place when an empty boggie of the train was being brought to the platform from the washing area, a PTI report said.

On September 2, Four wagons of a goods train derailed near Hardattpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh

On September 5, an Over Head Equipment (OHE) van derailed near Bhansi in Chhatisgarh's Dantewada region. The Naxals were suspected to be behind the incident.

Last week, the engine and the power car of the Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express derailed near Minto Bridge in Delhi as it was approaching New Delhi station.

On July 29, Mumbai bound Duronto Express derailed as the rains washed away parts of the tracks in Maharashtra's Titwala district.
