Tamil Nadu: First hurdle in Kamal Haasan's political journey
Kamal Haasan will visit the ‘No 1 Mandapam Panchayat union middle school’, the alma mater of former President A.P. J. Abdul Kalam when he launches his political journey from the Rameswaram island.
Hindu Munnani District President gave a letter to Rameswaram collector against Kamal Haasan's scheduled visit to the school where former President APJ Abdul Kalam studied. The letter stated that schools must not be allowed to be politicized. Hindu Munnani is a religious and cultural organization based in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu which was formed to defend Hinduism and protect Hindu religious monuments.

Haasan will reach Madurai today to finalise the arrangements, that include a rally in Rameswaram on Wednesday evening, where the actor-turned-politician will announce the name of his party and unfurl the party flag.
