Dalit family burning: 7 arrested

During the investigation the police had learnt that it was an act of vengeance due to a long standing rivalry between the two communities.

The incident was an act of revenge due to a murder which had taken place last October.

The police had rounded up three suspects and said that there were in total nine persons who were behind this ghastly incident. During the probe it was also found that some police personnel had not done their job of protecting the family and this led in the suspension of seven police personnel.

The horrific incident has caught the attention of the entire nation. Home Minister Rajnath Singh instructed the Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar to provide security and also speed up the probe. Khattar on his part has deployed a huge police team in the village and also instructed the police to speed up the probe and provide results while also announcing compensation of Rs 10 lakh.

During the investigation the police questioned several persons and have now arrested 7 persons. The police suspect that there are two more persons who are on the run and are hopeful of nabbing them soon.
