Extortion case: NCP MP Udayanraje Bhosale surrenders in police station
NCP MP Udayanraje Bhosale surrenders in Maharashtra's Satara Police Station in connection with an extortion case against him on Tuesday.
Satara police registered an FIR against Udayanraje Bhosale and few other following a complaint by Rajkumar Jain, who runs a manufacturing unit in Lonand industrial estate. Jain, owner of Sona Alloyes, has complained that supporters of Udayanraje demanded protection money from him. FIR was lodged on March 22.
Udayanraje has always been in controversies since he joined politics two decades back. He also faced a murder trail but was acquitted. Considered as a rebel in NCP, Udayanraje was minister of state for revenue in Manohar Joshi cabinet. He later joined Congress and NCP.
