The Congress had alleged that Ahamed's family was not allowed to see him at the RML hospital.
The Congress party on Friday demanded setting up of a parliamentary committee look into the treatment given to late Indian Union Muslim League MP E Ahamed and on the allegations that his family was denied access at the hospital.
Ahamed, 78, died of a cardiac arrest at around 2.15 am on Wednesday, hours after he collapsed in Parliament during President Pranab Mukherjee's Budget session speech.
The Congress had alleged that Ahamed's family was not allowed to see him at the government-run Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in the national capital. Ahamed's family had also alleged that they were not allowed to meet the leader.
