Veteran actor Dilip Kumar discharged from hospital

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was on Wednesday evening discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Dilip Kumar likely to be discharged from hospital today

Kumar was admitted to the hospital in suburban Bandra on August 2nd after he suffered from dehydration and urinary tract infection. There have been reports that the 94-year-old actor is suffering from a renal ailment.

Dilip Kumar, who received the Padma Vibhushan in 2015, the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994, is best known for his starring roles in films like Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and Naya Daur.

He was last seen on-screen in the 1998 film 'Qila'. The veteran actor was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema, in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan, the country's second-highest civilian award, in 2015.

The 94-year-old actor, who has had various visits to the hospital in the last few years, was last admitted in Lilavati in December after he complained of fever and swelling in his right leg.
