A total of 9 people were injured in two separate accidents reported from Mau district in Uttar Pradesh and Sonipat town in Haryana.

At least seven people were injured after a bus collided with a truck in Mau district in Uttar Pardesh while two near Sonipat town, 50 km from Delhi, in a pile up of cars on a busy National Highway (NH-1), police said.

According to Delhi Traffic Police, air quality in Capital remains 'severe'; PM 2.5 & PM 10 levels remained above normal standards in several areas.

Five of the flights were diverted due to poor visibility at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi where low visibility procedures were implemented. "

"More than 18 flights were delayed due to the sharp drop in runway visibility, forcing the airport authorities to switch to operations under LVP," officials said. The visibility was recorded at 800 metres at 5:30 AM, which dropped to 200 metres three hours later.
