Demonetisation blues? Why everyone is cribbing about #DearMoney

New Delhi, Nov 6: Just two days before India is all set to mark the first anniversary of demonetisation announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8 last year, everyone was literally cribbing about money on Monday.
The hashtag--#DearMoney--was a top trend on Twitter. Is India still suffering from demonetisation blues in spite of the passage of one year of its announcement?
Probably, yes as people are still cribbing about cash and missing its presence in their lives as it happened last November when due to note ban high-value currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 suddenly disappeared into thin air.
While announcing demonetisation, PM Modi told India that the "unpopular" step is to fight against black money, corruption and terror funding.
One year down the line, promises remained unfulfilled as nearly 99 per cent of scrapped notes came back into the system after creating massive chaos across various sectors.
As India did some money talk on Twitter, they expressed their angst of having not enough cash with some hard-hitting and equally funny lines. Here we bring you a few:
#DearMoney our hearts goes out to your family that lost 1 of its members a year back....
