Delhi Shocker: Child trafficking racket busted, NGO exposed


New Delhi, June 10: The real face of an NGO, which has been identified as Rashtriya Janhit Jansewa Sansthan, in South Delhi has been exposed.

Delhi Police busted a child trafficking racket at Dwarka's Sector 16B and claimed that the NGO has sold more than 20 children so far.

The NGO officials have been accused of trafficking newborn babies and putting them up for adoption. According to police sources, the NGO procured new-born babies either by stealing or kidnapping them or through IVF surrogacy.

Delhi Police official was quoted as saying, "During investigations we found out that the NGO was neither registered, nor was it authorised by the Delhi government to put out children for adoption."

Director of Women and Child Development Department alerted the cops who later planned a raid at the premises from where the NGO was operating.

Three persons, including a woman, were arrested when Delhi Police conducted a raid when the NGO officials were busy in completing an adoption formalities.

The cops also recovered a two-year-old child who was being sold. Now, the child has been sent to a child care home in the city.

The trio, who have been arrested, were accused ofpromoting their 'adoption service' openly. Cops informed that the NGO officials used to handbills at traffic signals.

Childless couples, who have bought children from the NGO, either had registered their names online through the website of the NGO or visiting the NGO's office.

The NGO had promised the couples to arrange children according to their preferences of sex and colour. However, the couples were not informed that the NGO had stolen or kidnapped the newborn babies from various hospitals across NCR.
