Delhi polls: BJP's Nupur Sharma, Shazia Ilmi allege manhandling by AAP volunteers
New Delhi, Feb 7: As Delhi votes to chose its government, BJP's candidate from New Delhi Nupur Sharma on Saturday alleged that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers manhandled her and her female companions. Another BJP leader Shazia Ilmi too alleged that AAP workers misbehaved with her near India Gate area.
"AAP volunteers were sporting 'Kejriwal shirts' and roaming within the radius of 200 metres of the polling booth. When I asked the AAP volunteer to remove the shirt, he misbehaved with my sister," said the BJP candidate.

Meanwhile, Shazia Ilmi, who recently joined BJP after quitting AAP, has also accused the AAP workers of using derogatory languages against her in Karawal Nagar area. Shazia is not contesting this time.
Earlier in the day, BJP's Kiran Bedi visited polling booths in Krishna Nagar, and claimed that locals in the area alleged that AAP workers were intimidating people to not vote BJP. They threatened them of dire consequences if not voted for AAP.
AAP has refuted from these allegations and asked Nupur Sharma to give the details of the person who misbehaved with her.
