Delhi MCD elections 2017: BJP will get 195 of 272 seats, says survey

The Congress was placed at third while Aam Aadmi Party was placed at a distant second.

The BJP will get the mandate in the Delhi MCD elections 2017, two opinion polls have said. While one poll gives the BJP 195 out of 272 seats the other says that the party will bag 179. The Congress was placed at third while Aam Aadmi Party was placed at a distant second. Polling will be held on Sunday.

The AAP would win just 55 seats one poll said while the other gave it 45. The opinion poll done by VMR for Times Now said that the BJP which has been ruling the MCD for ten years would get 195 seats. The CVoter poll done for ABP News forecast predicted that the BJP will win 76 of the 104 seats in the North corporation, 60 of 104 in the South and 43 of 64 in the East.

CVoter estimated that the AAP would win 13 seats in the North, 21 in the South and 11 in the East. VMR on the other hand predicted that the AAP would win just 15 while ABP said that the party will win 26 seats consisting eight eachin the North and East and 10 in South.

CVoter said that the AAP's vote share would be at 27.5 per cent which is a come down from 55 per cent that it won in the 2015 assembly elections. It said that the BJP would win 49 per cent of the vote share.
