The loss in the Delhi election is not a result of non-coordination between the party and the government, Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister and senior BJP leader said at Bengaluru.

Addressing a press conference on the sidelines of the BJP's National Executive Meeting here on Saturday, Jaitley said that if we have lost in Delhi we have won in several other elections.

We have won several elections: Jaitley

Coordination was not the issue

Jaitley said that the issue of Delhi elections had come up. It was discussed by all members of the party. There has never been a coordination issue between the party and the government in the past ten months.

If we have lost in Delhi we have won several other elections as well. Various issue had been discussed during the meeting and corrective measures too have been taken.

Prime Minister's speech

Jaitley spoke with the media about the points made by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his address at the conclave. He emphasized on the need to further strengthen the organization and also complimented its functioning, Jaitley informed.

The PM also endorsed the campaign which Amit Shah is starting in which a party office in every district would be set up.

Further the Prime Minister also mentioned that the upliftment of the poor should be the primary concern. Moreover he also stated that this being the centenary year of Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay more programmes for the upliftment of the poor should be introduced.

Party is firm behind the land bill

During the conclave all of us strongly backed the view of the Prime Minister, Jaitley also informed. The party has endorsed all decisions taken by the government and also the land bill.

The Opposition has spread a false campaign on the land bill. Jaitley said that it was stated clearly that in the 2015 amendment to the Bill corrective measures were taken and the bill is not anti farmer.

The land bill will help rural India through industrial corridors and this in turn will provide jobs to the poor, Jaitley also said.
