Delhi Chief Secretary ‘assault’ case: Police detain AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal
The Delhi police on Tuesday detained AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal from his residence in Ambedkar Nagar area in connection with alleged assault of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash. He was taken to Civil Lines police station for questioning.
Meanwhile, Heavy police force have been deployed near the residence of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in Okhla. He has been named in the FIR lodged in connection with alleged assault of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.
Earlier in the day, Prakash had filed an FIR aainst AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and others for manhandling him.
A case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertaining to wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation, causing hurt, criminal conspiracy, insult and obstructing a public servant from discharging his duty, Special Commissioner and chief spokesperson of the Delhi Police, Dependra Pathak, told PTI.
