Dawood Ibrahim immobile? Chhota Shakeel likely to be his successor
New Delhi, Apr 27: Chhota Shakeel, the close aide of mafia king Dawood Ibrahim may become his successor if reports of his illness doing rounds in media are true.
"Dawood Ibrahim's trusted lieutenant Chhota Shakeel, who is very aggressive, is likely to be his successor," a former police officer who investigated Mumbai's underworld for many years was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Former Assistant Commissioner of Police Shamsher Khan Pathan also expressed doubt about his health."

According to TV channel CNN-News 18 Dawood has been diagnosed with gangrene in his legs which is not likely to be cured. Though the report of Dawood's illness due to life threatening disease has reportedly been refuted by his close aide Chhota Shakeel.
The report also claimed that Dawood is currently getting treated at the Liaquat National Hospital and the Combined Military Hospital, Karachi under the protection of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Reports further suggest that ISI is unlikely to move him out of the country.

India's intense effort to bring him back always resulted into vein as Pakistan has always denied his presence on its soil. Though, his hideout in Pakistan is considered as world's most open secret.
It is alleged that the 1993 Mumbai blasts were organised by Dawood Ibrahim under pressure from the Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan.
