Dangerous trend sets in as social media becomes new weapon for jawans
The army says that it has looked into all these allegations and they had turned out to be false
The social media has become the new tool for jawans to post their grievances. The trend was started by BSF constable Tej Bahadur Yadav. He had complained about the poor quality of food served to the soldiers. His post had become viral and even a national debate.
Now another video posted by jawan Sindhav Jogidas has gone viral. He accuses his seniors of treating sahayaks as slaves. The army rejected the charge and said that following an investigation it was found that his allegations were false.

The video by Jogidas comes a few days after a sting operation was conducted in which jawan Roy Mathew is seen criticising the sahayak system. Unfortunately Mathew committed suicide after telling his wife he had something very wrong and he feared action. There was another video posted on Youtube by a jawan in which he is heard complaining about the quality of life in which he is made to wash clothes, polish boots and walk dogs of his seniors.

For the opposition this has become a tool to take on the Centre. The army says that it has looked into all these allegations and they had turned out to be false. Some officials say that it is a disturbing trend. "If there is a problem it needs to be fixed or else it can become a major trend. It can become very embarrassing," the official said.
