Dabholkar murder: How CBI cracked the coded emails
New Delhi, June 14: The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the murder of Narendra Dabholkar has learnt that the accused conversed in coded language through emails.
Following the arrest of Virendra Tawde, a doctor alleged to be part of the Sanathan Sanstha, his email trail is being examined and the CBI has managed to get a plethora of information.
In one mail, Tawde writes we have to make factories for foreign and domestic literature ( Desi Sahitya aur videshi sahitya ke liye kharkhana banana padega) .
The CBI while analysing this mail found the use of the word factory suspicious. When questioned, Tawde told the CBI officials that it meant factories needed to be opened for preparing country and foreign made guns.
Dabholkar a rationalist was shot dead in Pune on on August 20 2013 by two persons on a motor cycle.

In most of the mails, the word desi and videshi sahitya crops up. In one of the mails it was stated that the country made weapons for now could be procured from Assam and Uttar Pradesh.
Further it was also found that these persons had Dabholkar on their radar since 2010. However the conspiracy to kill him was hatched in 2013. The conspiracy was hatched by Tawde and Akolkar, the CBI has also learnt. Akolkar has been absconding ever since his name had cropped up in the Goa blasts.
Investigators suspect that this could be the same unit that was responsible for the murders of Govind Pansare and M M Kalaburgi. The modus operandi and the manner in which all three persons were killed are similar in nature.
The CBI is seeking an opinion from the Scotland Yard police after two forensic reports gave contradictory findings on the weapons. While the Bengaluru forensic report stated that two guns were used, the one at Mumbai stated that it was just one weapon. The tests were sought after investigators had recovered two pistols believed to be used in the murders.
