Earlier, its outer edge had made a landfall at Kailasagiri in Vizag with 180 KmPH winds recorded.
The Indian Navy announced the 'worse phase begins now'. It also informed that 5 diving teams hjave been dispatched to Srikakulam, 10 teams to low lying areas in and around Vizag for Rescue and Relief operations.

Cyclone Hudhud, said to be a 'very storm' is approximately 90 km South East of Vishakhapatnam and is likely to make landfall reassessed at North of Vizag off Bheemunipatnam by 12 pm, an agency reported on Sunday morning.
With 66 km wide cyclone eye formation and winds up-to 195-220 kmph, both Andhra Pradesh and Odisha are bracing for the massive cyclone.
As Hudhud waves intensified by breaching breakwater wall , visibility gone down to less than 500 meters.
Power failures have been reported in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.
As a precautionary measure, 30 diving teams, 8 ships, 6 helicopters, 4 Dornier MR Aircrafts are on standby for R&R. P81 is also on standby for damage assessment.
Earlier, eye of the storm was 140 km South East of Vizag and landfall near Vizag is likely to make landfall by 10:30 am to 11 am.
On late night of Saturday, Ajit Seth, Cabinet Secretary announced 1948 and 1949 as the help line numbers for Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
"24 teams of NDRF have been deployed in Andhra Pradesh, 18 in Odisha", he said.
"Helplines have been started, railways have been cancelled. Diesel locomotives have been stationed in case power cuts", he said.
"Landfall of cyclone will be a little north of Vizag, exact position cant be gauged as of now", he said.
"PM Narendra Modi said all possible help should be given to states that will be affected", he added.
