The worries for the Congress and JD(S) does not appear to end. After being undecided about whether they should shift to Kerala, the legislators made a late night decision and proceeded to Hyderabad.

The MLAs first checked into Grand Hyatt. Now the legislators have moved to Taj Krishna. The reason for the change in place is not clear. For the legislators it was virtually an escape from the Eagleton Resort at Bidadi, which is around 38 kilometres away from Bengaluru.

Congress-JD(S) changes resort again after dramatic mid-night journey

While the Congress MLAs were lodged in Bidadi, the JD(S) legislators were housed at the Shangri-La in the city. They decided to move out of Bengaluru late into the night. At around quarter past midnight they began their journey out of Bengaluru. However their plans could not be kept a secret as the media continued to chase them.

To add to the drama, D K Shivakumar, the Congress legislator tasked with guarding them even hired 11 bouncers and gunmen to safeguard the MLAs. The initial plan was to fly into Kerala. Around 100 rooms were already booked at two resorts. Unable to fly out, they accused the DGCA of taking orders from the Centre and denying their chartered flights permission to fly out. The charge was however rejected by Union Minister, Jayant Sinha.

Finally they took the bus out and the scenes on the highway were dramatic.

When they were around 100 kilometres away from Hyderabad, the buses stopped and the legislators switched to another bus. This was apparently done for security reasons and also the fact that the new bus had a sleeper.
