Congress demands complaint against BSY, Sriramulu for allegedly indulging in MLA poaching
The letter mentions BJP leaders BJ Puttaswamy, Janardhan Reddy, Yeddyurappa's son Vijendra, Murlidahar Rao, along with BSY and Sriramulu.
Alleging that the BJP tried to lure its MLAs to switch sides ahead of the floor test, the Karnataka Congress has written a letter to Bengaluru police seeking registration of complaint against BJP leaders including BS Yeddyurappa and B Sriramulu.
The letter addressed to Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Urban Wing, Anti-Corruption Bureau, has sought a complaint for alleged criminal conspiracy and corruption to win the May 19 floor test of the Yeddyurappa-led government.
The letter mentions BJP leaders BJ Puttaswamy, Janardhan Reddy, Yeddyurappa's son Vijendra, Murlidahar Rao, along with BSY and Sriramulu. The letter says that a CD of mobile conversations between these BJP leaders with Congress MLAs has been sent to the police.
"Yeddyurappa, along with Sriramulu, BJ Puttaswamy, Vijendra, Janardhan Reddy and Murlidhar Rao hatched a criminal conspiracy to bribe the legislative members of Congress, JD (S) and others and for the same a huge cash was handed over....," the letter said.
"...criminal activity of the accused are established and the circumstances unerringly pointing towards the guilt of the accused and also if the circumstances, taken cumulatively form a chain by which a crime was committed by the accused and none else," it also said.

Hours before BSY's floor test the Congress had released an audio clip in which Yeddyurappa was purportedly trying to lure Congress MLA BC Patil. The Congress MLA from Hirekerur was said to have recorded the incriminating audio which of his alleged conversation with Yeddyurappa.
