Cong gives adjournment motion notice in LS over Tarun Vijay's race remark
The Lok Sabha is expected to witness stormy scenes following the statements made by BJP leader Tarun VIjay. The Congress has moved an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha over Vijay's controversial remark on South Indians.
Vijay had created a controversy while speaking to a television channel over his remarks on South Indians. While attempting to defend India against racism, he had said, "if we Indians were racist, why would have the entire South. "Which is you know... completely Tamil, you know Kerala, you know Karnataka and Andhra. Why do we live with them? We have blacks, black people all around us," he also said.
Although he issued a clarification, he was trolled and mocked for his remarks. The Congress on Monday will bring up the issue in Parliament. There is likely to be stormy scenes in the Parliament over this issue. The BJP has however distanced itself from the comment.
