Mumbai, March 9: Film maker Ram Gopal Varma has done it again! A complaint has been filed against the filmmaker, known for courting controversy, for his sexist 'Women's Day' message. The complaint was filed by activist Vishaka Mhambre in Goa over his tweet on women.
Varma, on the occassion of International Women's Day, took to Twitter and said, "I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives." This tweet, however, did not go down well with the twitteratti and Verma faced backlash for the same.

He, however, maintained his stand and defended his tweet, with another tweet saying, "The negative noise towards my tweet on Sunny Leone arises from ultimate hypocrisy. She has more honesty and more self respect than any woman. All u illiterates who dint understand my earlier 2 tweets on Sunny Leone atleast go through dictionary unless u are uneducated for that too."

The director did not stop here. On the same day he also questioned the idea of Women's Day and proposed that it be called Men's Day because 'men celebrate women much more than women celebrate women.'
This is not the first time that the filmmaker has courted controversy. Varma has faced criticism several times for his comments on women including one he made on US First Lady Melania Trump.
