CM dedicates projects worth Rs 205 crore in Sarkaghat through video-conferencing

SHIMLA: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh inaugurated developmental projects worth 205 crore in Sarkaghat, District Mandi through video-conferencing, from Secretariat here today. The visit to Sarkaghat was cancelled due to urgent assignment of Chief Minister at Shimla.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister, Smt. Vidya Stokes, Political advisor to Chief Minister Shri Rangila Ram Rao, OSD, Amit Pal were present amongst others on the occasion.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated renovation and strengthening of Sarkaghat-Ghumarwin Super Highway, on which a sum of Rs. 167 crore has been spent.

He inaugurated augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) Bid, Patta and Samsoh completed with an outlay of Rs 13 crore to benefit 13,610 people from 48 habitations of 10 panchayats of the area.

Shri Virbhadra Singh dedicated LWSS Baira-Bhadrota-Suranga-Hatli at Bhambla on which an amount of Rs. 24 crore has been incurred. A population of around 22,300 from 96 habitations of 22 panchayats will be benefited from this scheme.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of additional block of Sports Hostel of GSSS (Boys) Sarkaghat to cost Rs. 25 lakh, foundation stone of ETO Office Sarkaghat to cost Rs.47.34 lakh and laid foundation stone of office building of Sub Tehsil Bhadrota to cost Rs. 86 lakh.
