Chhattisgarh: Man kills brother for disturbing sleep
The victim had a high-pitch voice, and he used to deliberately sing to irritate his brother.

In

shocking
incident,
a
45-year-old
man
was
hacked
to
death
by
his
brother
on
Tuesday
in
Daundilohra
village
in
Balod
district
of
Chhattisgarh
in
full
public
view.
According
to
reports,
the
accused,
identified
as
Suresh
Kumar,
40
pulled
his
elder
brother
Chinturam,
45
out
of
the
house
and
tied
him
to
electric
pole
and
killed
him
with
an
axe
in
public.
The
incident
occurred
when
Chinturam
started
singing
and
playfully
mocked
Kumar
when
the
latter
was
asleep.
Irritated, Kumar started to quarrel with his brother. During the scuffle, Chinturam grabbed an axe to frighten Kumar, but was overpowered, was dragged by his brother out of the house. He warned the public that he would attack them if they try to stop him.
After the incident, Suresh went to the police station with the axe and surrendered. According to villagers, it had become common between the duo to fight every day. They also said that Chinturam had high-pitch voice, and he used to deliberately sing to irritate his brother. The police have charged Suresh with murder and have said that he has a record of creating trouble as he is short-tempered.
