Chhattisgarh: 5 more SIMI operatives arrested
It is alleged that they provided logistics, financial and ideological support to run the organization. As per a report by the Economic Times, Civil Lines City Superintendent of Police has arrested the five militants-Sheikh Azijullah (36), a resident of Pandri, Moinuddin Mashiuddin Qureshi (37) of Rajatalab, Sheikh Habibullah (33) of Pandri, Hayat Noor Khan alias Raju Mistry (45) of Gudhiyari and Roshan Ghulam Sheikh (32) of Ashok Nagar.
It is further reported that Moinuddin had given his house at Sanjay Nagar on rent to Abdullah and his accomplices who also had links with the Patna blasts.
All the accused were booked under provisions of the Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act, 1968. On an earlier occasion, an auto driver Abdul Wahid Khan of Pandri and Umer Sidhhiqui (who runs a coaching class in Raja Talab), for their alleged SIMI links had also been arrested.
It is said that the duo had constant links with the five arrested accused during the Patna blasts.
