Cheque bounce- Court grants more time to get Vijay Mallya's address
On the last date of hearing too the court had sought from GMR the correct address. It had said that in order for it to issue summons it would require the correct address. Today the court granted time until July 5 to furnish the correct address.
The matter relates to the cheques that were issued by Kingfisher Airlines to the GMR Hyderabad International Airport which operates the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The cheques issued had bounced following which a case under the Negotiable Instruments Act had been filed.
When the summons was issued first it was returned since no person was present at the address. The court instructed the GMR to get the correct address so that the summons could be sent. The court said that in order for it to pass a verdict the summons need to be delivered.
