CCTV shocker: Chhattisgarh female TT players found leaving male coach's room
New Delhi, Jan 14: In a shocking incident, CCTV footage shows a coach of Chhattisgarh table tennis team dragging his female team member out of her room and later some girls are seen coming out of his room late at night.
According to media reports, the CCTV footage was recorded on December 26 during the 76th National Cadet and Sub-Junior Championship in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.
Following the preliminary investigation, the Chhattisgarh State Table Tennis Association has suspended the female player and coach from the upcoming National Games.
In the footage which has sparked a controversy, the man has been identified as the 19-year-old coach of the Chhattisgarh table tennis team. He is seen dragging a player out of her room to which the girl is resisting.
The association's general secretary, Amitabh Shukla, has also resigned following the controversy.
