Burari death case: After 22 days, the lone survivor dog dies of heart attack
New Delhi, July 23: Nearly a month after the mysterious death of Burari's 11-member Bhatia family left the country awestruck, their pet dog, named Tommy, died on Sunday evening. The pet, who was suffering from high-fever since last few days, has reportedly died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.
After losing all his owners, the dog was had been living at the House of Stray Animals (HSA) ever since he lost his family and was going through an anxiety and depression. He had to be muzzled before being taken to the foster home in an ambulance.
However, Tommy was gradually recovering his physical problems but failed to get over the shock he received after losing his family.
On July 1, the discovery of 11 bodies at the Bhatia home in North Delhi's Burari had almost all newsrooms in the country in a tizzy.
Narayan Devi's daughter Pratibha (57) and two sons -- Bhavnesh (50) and Lalit (45) -- were among the deceased. Bhavnesh's wife Savita (48) and their three children -- Neetu (25), Maneka (23) and Dhirendra (15) -- were also found dead.
While several handwritten notes discovered from the house pointed to occult angle in the case, friends and relatives repeatedly demanded CBI investigation, suspecting 'foul play' in the incident.
