Video: BSF Aircraft crashes in Dwarka, at least 10 killed
New Delhi, Dec 22: In a tragic incident, a BSF aircraft crashed in south-west Delhi's Dwarka area on Tuesday, Dec 22 morning.
According to reports, all ten onboard including 8 passengers and 2 crew members have been feared dead.
The incident happened around 10 am near Badpola village in Dwarka, when the chartered flight hit a wall while taking off. Fire tenders reached at the crash spot.
According to BSF sources, it was Ranchi-bound BSF Superking aircraft carrying technicians lost contact with ground control.
Two dead bodies have been recovered from the aircraft crash site. Following the crash, Delhi Airport's flight operations have been suspended.
"It was a 10-seater plane, crashed during take off, We have ordered inquiry", said Mahesh Sharma, MoS, Civil Aviation on BSF plane crash.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh is about to visit the site in Dwarka, where the ill-fated BSF plane Super King Air C 200 crashed. The plane was manufactured in 1994 and was inducted in BSF Air wing in August 1995.
