Bombs recovered in Patna: Four members escape
Patna, March 31: Two bombs fitted with a clock bearing a Lotus company mark were recovered at an apartment in the Bahdaurpur area in Patna. The incident came to light after there was an explosion in the apartment at 7.15 pm yesterday.
The police and the bomb squad, which was pressed into service has managed to defuse the two bombs. There were four persons staying in the apartment and all of them managed to escape.
Four persons had rented the apartment:
It has been found that four persons were staying in the apartment, which was taken in the name of Hemanth. The police are investigating to get more details on the four persons who were staying there.
Eye witnesses told the police that all the four had run away from the apartment when the explosion took place. Two of them escaped on bike. The other two went towards the terrace and escaped from there is what the police have learnt.
Bombs similar to ones used in Patna and Bodhgaya blasts:
The bombs are said to be similar in nature to the ones that were used in Patna during the Hunkar rally and also at Bodhgaya.
The bombs were attached to a clock which was used as a timer. The clock bore the name Lotus which was similar to the one used at Patna and Bodhgaya by Haider Ali alias Black Beauty of the SIMI.
The police are ascertaining whether it could be the same module which was involved in this incident as well. The police have CCTV footage with them which could help them put a face on the accused persons.
