Blow to Gujarat Congress as 3 more MLAs resign: 6 in two days
Governor Vora confirmed that he had received the two resignation letters from the Congress leaders.
The Congress in Gujarat seems to be falling apart before of the crucial Rajya Sabha polls and Assembly elections, slated to be held later this year.

On Friday morning two of Congress MLAs Mansingh Chouhan and Chhanabhai Chaudhary quit the party on Friday.

Governor Vora confirmed that he had received the three resignation letters from the Congress leaders.
This development came just a day after Balwantsinh Rajput, Tejashree Patel and Prahlad Patel left the party to join the BJP, ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls.
Till now 6 MLAs have quit Congress and joined BJP taking Congress' tally to 51 in the 182-member assembly.
Reportedly, Balwantsinh Rajput is likely to be fielded by the BJP against veteran Congress leader Ahmed Patel, who is a lone Congress candidate for the Upper House.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi hit back at BJP alleging that BJP has spent crores of Rupess in Horse trading to attract the Congress leaders.
"Congress Gujarat MLA Punabhai Gamit was offered Rs 10 crore rupees by the BJP," he added.
The latest setback for the Congress comes almost a week after Vaghela left the party and also resigned as the Leader of Opposition. However, he continues to be an MLA.
