Governor Vora confirmed that he had received the three resignation letters from the Congress leaders.

This development came just a day after Balwantsinh Rajput, Tejashree Patel and Prahlad Patel left the party to join the BJP, ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls.

Till now 6 MLAs have quit Congress and joined BJP taking Congress' tally to 51 in the 182-member assembly.

Reportedly, Balwantsinh Rajput is likely to be fielded by the BJP against veteran Congress leader Ahmed Patel, who is a lone Congress candidate for the Upper House.
