BJP workers celebrate party's thumping victory in Haryana, Maharashtra (Photos)
According to an Indian Express report, all the roads leading up to the party office and Mantralaya were lined with the saffron flags, the "diwali" lanterns and "rangoli".
The party workers played "dhol", "tutari" (a traditional Maharashtrian wind-instrument), marking the beginning of the celebrations.
A huge crowd have gathered in front of the giant LED screen fixed outside the party office, which gives constant updates of the election results.
The party has already won 82 out of 123 seats in Maharashtra and 45 out of 49 seats in Haryana.
