Mumbai, Oct 6: Union Transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday said that the BJP will win 150 to 160 seats in Maharashtra in the upcoming assembly elections on October 15.

In an interview to TOI, Gadkari said that the BJP will not require the support of any party to form the government in the state.

While asserting that the era of coalition politics is over, Gadkari said that the BJP won't join hands with NCP and all the rumors are false and baseless.

Putting aside the speculations about his race for the post of Maharashtra CM, Gadkari said he has left the idea of returning to state politics and is happy in New Delhi.

On NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Gadkari said that he should not have any objection over PM Narendra Modi's election rallies in the state.

On former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, Gadkari slammed him for not having any vision for the state.

"Chavan's biggest problem is that he does not trust anyone. I had occasion to write at least five letters to him on the problems in Nagpur's Mihan project. He did not even have the courtesy to acknowledge my letters", Gadkari said.

On the recent divorce between the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance, Gadkari blamed Uddhav Thackeray.

He emphasised that the alliance would have been intact had he been 'a little flexible' on the seat-sharing formula.
