With cracks seeming to appear between the BJP and the TDP, the Shiv Sena has accused the ruling party at the Centre of not being true to its alliance partners. The Shiv Sena, in its editorial mouthpiece 'Saamana', said even the Shiromani Akali Dal is upset with the alliance.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, the editorial in Sena's mouthpiece said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may soon have to search for allies from another planet if it could not come to a mutual understanding on key issues with its current NDA partners.

"The BJP will not get any party for the alliance in India and they have to get someone from other planets," the mouthpiece said.

Sena's reaction comes a day after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that TDP is ready to chart its own course if the BJP is not keen to continue with the alliance. Naidu's reaction came in the wake of some remarks by the state leaders of the BJP, who have been criticising the TDP on various issues.

Naidu had also said that it was for the BJP's central leadership to control local leaders, adding that he was adhering to coalition "dharma" by reining in his party leaders from reacting to their statements.

"Because of coalition dharma, we are keeping quiet..If they don't want us, we will do the 'namaskaram' and chart our own course," Naidu had reportedly told reporters in Amaravati.

It also needs to be recalled that YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy had said that he would support the BJP if Andhra Pradesh was given special status.

Shiv Sena said that the impact of the 'so-called Modi wave' will be revealed in next year's general elections.

BJP pulled out of the alliance to emerge as the single largest party in the last Assembly elections. Sena and BJP, however, cobbled an alliance after the polls to form the government with BJP bagging the CM's post. The two parties also contested the BMC elections separately.
