New Delhi, June 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi- led BJP government may find a 'right place' for the party's stalwarts, who have crossed the 75 years age mark, like Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Yashwant Sinha, Kalyan Singh, Lalji Tandon, VK Malhotra, Kesri Nath Tripathi, Shanta Kumar and B C Khanduri.

Some media reports have claimed that the veteran BJP leaders who could not find a place in the Modi's council of ministers, may be appointed as governors of different states, by replacing governors appointed by the UPA-II government.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reportedly submitted a list of governors appointed by the UPA government to the PMO to accommodate new governors.

The list includes names of Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj, Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal, Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra, Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia, Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt, Assam Governor J B Patnaik, Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil and Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi.

Report also said that MM Joshi, who won from Kanpur, may be the next governor of Maharashtra.

A report also said that former BJP senior leader Jaswant Singh is likely to be back in the party and he may be offered the post of Governor of Tamil Nadu.

However, those governors whose term is nearing its completion will be spared and allowed to continue till end of their tenure.
