BJP on promotion mode after Pejawar Mutt pontiff's comment on performance
The BJP high command has decided to highlight achievements of the government after Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt expressed displeasure against four years of Modi administration.
Pejawar Swamiji said that he was not satisfied with the central government's four-year rule. He underscored BJP government's failure to bring back black money and cleaning of the river Ganga.
Ganga cleaning and building, Ram Mandir should be the top priority of the government. More than 20 Muslim religious heads have supported building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he said. "The BJP-led NDA government has suffered a setback in the by-polls across the country since the rival parties have united," New Indian Express quoted the pontiff as saying.
The pontiff is known to have a good rapport with the BJP. But the party leaders think they have failed to provide proper information on government administration to the pontiff. The saffron is concerned about the pontiff's statement ahead of 2019 general elections.
As a result, the High Command has instructed state units to convince the elites and common people alike about NDA government's achievements.
