BJP MLA Lokendra Singh killed in UP road accident, PM Modi condoles his death

Lokendra Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bijnor's Noorpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh, died in a road accident on his way to the 'Investors Meet' in Lucknow.
The accident occurred when SUV of the Legislator collided head on with a truck under Kamlapur police station area on National Highway 24 on Wednesday morning.
Confirming the incident, police said the deceased included MLA's two security personnel and one another.
Singh, a resident of Dhampur in Bijnor district, worked was 41 years old. He was first elected from Noorpur in 2012 and re-elected in 2017. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences said his service towards society and role in building the BJP in UP will always be remembered.
"Anguished by the demise of BJP MLA from Noorpur, Shri Lokendra Singh Ji due to an accident. His service towards society and role in building the BJP in UP will always be remembered. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of grief," Modi tweeted.
