BJP fumes at Dimple's remarks, says SP trying to be relevant by attacking Modi
Dimple has been attacking Modi and Centre over a range of issues in her rallies across UP.
Hitting back at Samajwadi Party leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple's remark criticising the Centre over the 'martyrdom' of soldiers, the BJP has said that the SP is attacking Modi to stay in the limelight.
Dimple had said that BJP-led governemnt was taking political mileage out of the martyrdom of soldiers.
BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI that SP is aware that they have lost the assembly elections, adding they were resorting to attack the prime minister to hog limelight.
Dimple has been attacking Modi and Centre over a range of issues in her rallies across UP. She had earlier launched a scathing attack on the prime minister over rise in LPG price, demonetisation and his 'kabristan-shamshan' remark.
During a rally at UP's Bhadohi, she had reportedly said, "I am the daughter of an armyman. These people are taking mileage from the martyrdom of our sodiers... They are politicising the army."
Voting for the seventh and final phase of the UP assembly elections is scheduled to be held on Wednesday. Fourty constituencies are set for polling during the seventh phase.
