BJP celebrates UP, Uttarakhand win

Lucknow, March 11: Riding on the Narendra Modi wave, the BJP on Saturday trounced rivals the SP-Congress and the BSP in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, getting a two-thirds majority in the 403-House.

The SP won 44 seats and was ahead in 3 seats. Its ally the Congress got 7 seats. The BSP won 16 seats and was leading in 4 seats.
